Print Design - Advertisement - Promotional Design
These two posters were created as a class project to promote Titus Andronicus for the OSU Department of Theatre; and were later entered into a juried exhibition at Oklahoma State University where they won the Department Head Award for Graphic Design. The assignment was to design promotional posters for an assigned play in two completely different visual styles. Rather than going more surface level, I wanted both pieces to dig into the darker themes of the story. so i was inspired by the the way characters reach for power and glory and end up finding nothing but pain, corruption, and loss. My visual choices were intentional and built around symbolism.
The first poster is a fully hand-drawn illustration made in Procreate and Photoshop i wanted to keep the type loose and organic while keeping the center peice a little unsettling as that is the feeling at least i had from reading the play. The second poster was made by photo manipulation in Photoshop, using layered imagery to create something that feels haunting.
